BEST TIME TO VISIT KANYAKUMARI

also known as Kanyakumari, is a town located in the southernmost tip of the
Indian subcontinent.
Kanyakumari, also known as Cape Comorin, is a small coastal town located in the
state of
Tamil Nadu in India. It is situated at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula,
where the
Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean converge. One of the unique aspects
of Kanyakumari is that the water of these three seas do not mix and can be distinguished
by
its distinct shades of turquoise blue, deep blue, and sea green. For the best view of
the
sunrise and sunset, you can visit the Triveni Sangam point and the View tower. The town
has a mountainous terrain, with elevated hills, coconut trees, and paddy fields.
Kanyakumari
is also the only place in India where you can observe both the sunrise and sunset on the
same beach. The town is also known for its temples, iconic monuments, and the
Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Visitors also can enjoy the waterfall in Kanyakumari such as
Thirparappu falls, Court Allam Falls, and Olakaruvi falls. Kanyakumari offers authentic
South
Indian cuisine, with seafood and coconuts being an integral part of most dishes.

Winter is the ideal time to visit Kanyakumari for sightseeing and exploring the area. Attractions such as Vavathurai, Chitharal Hill Temple, and Thiruvalluvar Statue are particularly popular among tourists during this time. November is particularly well-suited for visiting Kanyakumari as the weather is pleasant with clear skies and lower humidity. Temperature typically ranges from 15 to 35 degrees Celsius. It's also a great time for beach activities like sunbathing, swimming, and surfing. December to February are peak tourist seasons, with the tourism industry seeing the most revenue during this time.
Kanyakumari in Summers (April to June)
During the summer season, Kanyakumari experiences moderate weather with temperatures ranging from 22 to 35 degrees Celsius. Although the weather can be humid during this time, it's still an ideal time to visit popular attractions such as Vivekananda Rock, Vattakottai Fort, and the Gandhi Museum. Beach activities are also available throughout the summer, making it perfect for outdoor visits, sea bathing and surfing. The early summer months are considered the best time to visit Kanyakumari, however April is considered hot, which is why it's not a preferred month for travel. However, since the place gets less crowded and accommodation is cheaper, it's a good time for budget travellers to visit.Kanyakumari in Monsoons (July to September)
The monsoon season in Kanyakumari begins in June, bringing relief from the heat but also increasing humidity. For those who love the rain, August is a good time to visit as the atmosphere is pleasant with a slight drizzle that adds to the beauty of the coast. Despite the humidity, it's still a good time to visit during the monsoon season. Sightseeing may be limited due to the frequent showers in September. However, The Cape Festival takes place in October, and by this time, Kanyakumari sees an influx of tourists from around India.
