Introduction

For those who love God’s Own Country and have been planning a trip, there might be some images that are already running in their heads. Thanks to the many films, songs, documentaries and ads featuring the state, we all know what Kerala is replete with. The two main attractions are of course the green hills and the serene backwaters and beaches. A trip to Munnar and Alleppey will help you experience both of these, that, up until then, you would have only watched on screen or read about.

Tour Itinerary
  • Day 1 Arrival at Munnar and all day tour (3 hours 35 minutes from Kochi – 132.6 kms)
Our executive will you pick you up from Kochi and take you to Munnar. The road trip itself is a good scenic start for your trip. After you check in at the hotel and freshen up, you can set out to explore what the hill station has in store for you. If you are into trekking, you can check out these hills – Meesapulimala, Echo point or Top Station. Not on,y the trek, but also the view from the summit is also completely worthwhile. The famous Eravikulam National Park is also an ideal spot to spend some time walking through and experience the thriving flora and fauna.
  • Day 2 All day tour
Next day morning, you can drop by at the Tata Tea Plantation and watch how the tea leaves are plucked, processed and packed. A walk through the tea plantations is a beautiful experience to have. You can also check out Attukad Waterfalls and Lakkom Waterfalls or spend time peaceful time at the Kundala Lake. Towards the evening, head towards the Mattuppetty Dam and adjacent dairy farm. Catch the evening from the Mattuppetty Dam to wrap the day on a beautiful note.
  • Day 3 Arrival at Alleppey and all day tour (4 hours 42 minutes – 172 kms)
Alleppey, too, is much like Kumarakom in a lot of ways, except that it is actually a town. Visit Kuttanad, which is touted as the “Rice Bowl of Kerala”. You can take a house boat ride through the back waters of Kuttanad, and through one of India’s largest and Kerala’s longest lake, Vembanad Lake. Alleppey also has beaches where you can have a peaceful time, playing with the waves. The town is home to places of worship for people from different faiths. Their quaint old churches and serene temples are worth visiting to have some spiritual time. Among them is the Karumadikkuttan, a statue of Buddha made out of black granite, which helps you trace the roots of Buddhism in Kerala.

Kerala. Alleppey also has beaches where you can unwind and have a peaceful time, or take part in some adventurous water sports. There are numerous famous churches and temples in and around the place you can visit, to have a serene, spiritual time.
